A year after India gained independence, S. Kumars & Company set up its textile business. Since then, S. Kumars has grown into an industrial complex, diversifying from textiles to tyres, from power to e-commerce, and several other enterprises.

Each venture has been, and will be, a complete commitment seen through with vision, determination and dignity.

In the very early days, the Company sold fabrics made by others under the brand name of S. Kumars. The subsequent establishment of its own manufacturing plants in various locations all over the country continued rapidly, while existing ones are upgraded constantly with state-of-the-art technology.

In 1998, Reid & Taylor, 150 year old, and makers of probably the world's™ most sought-after suit material, entered into a Strategic Alliance with the Company. 

Such are the tributes to the textile excellence of S. Kumars. Such will be the quality of the successes of other divisions, as the Group grows into a global conglomerate.
